农史作为一门相对独立的一门学科历史并不长。传统史学注重的是人与人的关系。在阶级社会出现后，人与人之间的关系首先表现为阶级关系。政治是阶级斗争的技术， 而战争是阶级斗争的最高表现形式，因而过去所谓的历史，主要是政治史和战争史。
