内酯，英文名lactones，是指在同一分子中既含有羧基，又含有羟基，二者脱水生成的有机物。内酯由一个分子自身发生酯化反应脱水形成，同时水解后也是一个分子。内酯的环中只有一个酯基（—COO—），若一个环中有两个以上的酯基则不是内酯而是交酯。
