共质体,是指植物原生质体间通过胞间连丝连接而成的连续体。它与外部介质相通,是水分和养分可以自由出入的地方,养分迁移速率较快。共质体通道是靠胞间连丝把养分从一个细胞转运到相邻的细胞中,借助原生质的环流,带动养分的运输,最后向中柱转运。在共质体运输中,胞间连丝起着沟通相邻细胞间养分运输的桥梁作用。
