【六郁】是气、血、湿、火、痰、食等六种郁症的合称。郁，是壅遏不通畅或郁结不舒。元代朱丹溪认为「气血冲和，万病不生，一有怫郁，诸病生焉」。“百病生于气”，气不行则血行不畅病血瘀，同样气郁可致水液代谢失常、产生湿郁、痰郁、食郁，说明气血郁结，则其他郁证就会相继而生，并且六郁相互影响。
