公司集团（group companies）指由数家公司组成的具有多元的、多层次性的一种垄断性联合组织。一般来说，公司集团本身并非一个独立的法人组织，而其组成成员公司的都是独立的法人。作为公司集团的成员的公司都有自己的名称和章程，有自己的财产和帐目，并以自己的名义进行经营活动。公司集团中成员公司的组合是松紧不一、形态万千的，并非只有母子公司这样一种组合形式。
