八部有两种意思，一指部首，另一是佛教术语。八部(ハ)就汉字索引来说，是为部首之一。八部归於二划部首。八部通常是从上方或下方为部，例如公、共等字。佛学中，“天龙八部”是佛经中常见的“护法神”。
