免疫记忆（immunological memory ）。在获得性免疫方面，一度对某抗原发生反应，则在下一次同样的抗原刺激时，可看到更强烈的反应，称为免疫记忆。 又在这种情况下的强反应，称为再次免疫反应或既往反应。这种现象是对前次抗原刺激产生反应的结果，而起因于对那种抗原能起反应的淋巴系细胞过度的增殖。这些细胞总称为免疫记忆细胞（immunological memory cell）。另外，保加利亚科学院微生物学研究所所长安赫尔·格勒博夫表示，1918年至1957年间流行的流感主要是甲型H1N1流感，因此这期间出生的人大多已对这一流感病毒产生免疫力。
