免疫器官是以淋巴组织为主的器官。按其功能不同分为中枢性免 疫器官和外周免疫器官。中枢免疫器官是免疫细胞发生、分化和成熟的场所。在人和哺乳类动物主要是胸腺和骨髓，鸟类还包括法氏囊。外周免疫器官是成熟T细胞和B细胞定居的场所，也是这些细胞在抗原刺激下发生免疫应答的部位。外周免疫器官包括淋 巴结、脾脏、黏膜相关淋巴组织等。
