“光（此字应有鱼旁）鱼”，也叫“海鲇鱼”、“鲇光鱼”、“傻鲇光”、“傻楞巴”、“海楞嘣”。它是底层鱼，生长于海水中。皮肤呈灰色或灰背腹黄色，体形似胡萝卜，头大而扁，略似淡水鲇鱼，嘴大但无须。而尾部很细。一般天然鱼一龄有15--20厘米，一龄以上可到30厘米。在北方冬季寒冷，一般不能越冬。近些年来，养虾池利用光鱼筛选优良虾，鱼虾混养，饵料充足，易长到30厘米。
