光谱型是恒星的温度分类系统，依恒星光谱的类型，把恒星分成O、B、A、F、G、K和M等类型。其中G型星还有两种变种类型R和N，K类有一种变型S。 每个光谱都可进一步分为数字亚型，范围从0到9，更高的数字表示更低能的光谱和更红的颜色。在数字后面加上罗马数字或字母表示恒星演化阶段（如太阳光谱型为G2V）。 Oh Be A Fine Girl(or Guy),Kiss me!(哦，做个好女孩/小伙，亲亲我！)这句话刚好是光谱型的排列顺序，很好记吧？
