光氏，战国时期侠士田光的后代，以人名为氏。 田光（？－前227年），战国末年燕国人。他是一位学识渊博，智勇双全的侠士，常常自许为“节侠”，由鞠武推荐给燕太子丹。燕太子丹当时正在想办法对付秦国的入侵，就问田光有什么办法。田光就向太子丹推荐荆柯，让荆柯去刺杀秦王。因为事关机密，太子丹请田光不要向别人泄露。田光为了向太子丹表示忠心，就自杀了。荆柯与燕太子丹易水相别，赴咸阳，演出了刺杀秦王未遂而身亡的壮剧。 后来秦灭了燕国，田光的子孙为了逃避秦王的迫害，就改用“光”字作为自己的姓氏。晋代有光逸。
