先见又称先识。一是指个人先于他人或社会所具有的独到见解，二是指历史沿袭下来的社会传统文化，即众人共有的前理解。前者是舆论学的含义，后者是解释学的含义。先见是认识过程中理解的重要因素，也是解释活动的爆发力，任何理解与解释都肯定或自觉意识到“先见”的合理存在。先见之所以无法摆脱，因为它是人进行理解和解释之前的意识存在状态。但先见又可能成为人们产生新的理解和解释的障碍，理解的现实性一方面要承认先见合法存在和它的建设作用，另一方面要敦促宣传者或宣传对象放弃或超越先见的原有水平。
