佛塔寺（又名尊圣塔院），明崇祯（1638年）丽江土知府木靖与寺僧道源、道真创建。院中建有尊圣塔，塔身皎洁如玉。每逢中秋月圆之时，明月高悬塔尖，与天柱峰楞严塔遥相呼应，成为鸡足山的八景之一 ——“塔院秋月”。该寺历代曾多次维修，现为台湾法师道兴（比丘尼）主持。并投资近千万修复，极为壮观。寺中常住尼姑40余人，是鸡足山尼姑最多的寺院，被列为州级保护文物。
