佛塔，又名浮屠（梵语“佛陀”的音译），藏语称“曲登”。佛塔最初是用来供奉舍利、经卷或法物。 佛教于公元一世纪始入中国，历汉化而形成汉传佛教，佛塔样式也由覆钵式塔汉化为亭阁式塔、楼阁式塔，又由楼阁式塔衍生出密檐式塔。中国的佛塔按建材可分为木塔、石塔、砖塔，许多佛塔会刻有建塔碑记﹑佛像﹑佛经等。
