佛具又称为法器、法具等。从广义而言，凡是在佛教寺院内或非寺院所设佛堂等，设有庄严佛坛，并且用于祈请、修法、供养、法会等各类佛事活动的器具，或是佛教徒所穿所带的衣物、念珠乃至锡杖等辅助修行用的器物，都可称之为佛具。就内义而言，凡供养诸佛、庄严道场、修证佛法，以实践修行佛法或举行佛事活动所用器具即为佛具。佛具如果以用途来区分，一般含有庄严、供佛、报时、容置、携行及密教法具等几种。
