仡佬族用于“仡佬族”、“仡僚”。 仡佬族即中国古代“僚人”，散居在贵州省西部的织金、黔西、六枝、关岭等20多个县，少数分布在广西壮族自治区的隆林各族自治县和云南省文山壮族苗族自治州的广南、文山、富宁、马关等县。人口437997人（1990年第4次人口普查）。 仡佬族有自己的语言，但各地仡佬语差别很大。仡佬语属汉藏语系。如今，只有四分之一左右的人还会仡佬话，汉语已成仡佬人进行交际的工具。一部分人还会讲苗语、彝语或布依语等。仡佬族没有本民族文字，通用汉文。我国少数民族。
