交联反应是指2个或者更多的分子（一般为线型分子）相互键合交联成网络结构的较稳定分子（体型分子）的反应。这种反应使线型或轻度支链型的大分子转变成三维网状结构，以此提高强度、耐热性、耐磨性、耐溶剂性等性能，可用于发泡或不发泡制品。
