五典：孔安国《尚书传序》：伏羲、神农、黄帝之坟，谓之以三坟；少昊、颛顼、高辛、唐、虞之书，谓之五典；八卦之书，谓之八索；九州之志，谓之九丘。左丘明春秋昭公十二年传成左史倚相能读三坟，五典，八索，九丘，可见此等文籍，当时确有，孔子据以修订，而名为经。
所谓儒学化改造，大致包括对儒家经典的吸收、置立五经博士、重建国家祀典等方面。
