丽龟（学名：Lepidochelys olivacea）：是海龟中最小的一种，体长60-70厘米，体重约12千克，头背前额鳞2对。肋盾多，6-9对，第一对与颈盾相切。腹部有4对下缘盾，每枚盾片的后缘有一小孔。四肢扁平如桨。头、四肢及体背为暗橄榄绿色，腹甲淡橘黄色。 杂食，捕食底栖及漂浮的甲壳动物、软体动物、水母及其它无脊椎动物，偶尔也食鱼卵，亦吃植物性食物。每年9月至次年1月产卵，繁殖时有集群上岸产卵现象。产卵后，在巢区附近海域或分散在觅食地活动。 分布于整个热带海域（除墨西哥湾），迁徙线路沿热带和部分亚热带地区，包括大西洋的中东部、东北部、西北部、东南部、西南和西部中心；印度洋的东部、西部；太平洋的中东部、西北部、西南部、西部中心。
