丹人 (Dan ) 亦称吉奥人(Gio)或雅库巴人(Yakuba). 居住在科特迪瓦中西部山区和毗邻的利比里亚各地的一个语言文化集团，属于操尼日-刚果语系曼德(Mande)语族南部语支语言的一个群体，起源于居地以西或西北的某些地方，或许是马林克人(Malinke,亦即曼丁哥人〔Mandingo〕)之一部分。丹人同其南面的格雷人(Gere,Guere;或称恩格雷人〔Ngere〕)的部族亲缘关系较近。
