中子吸收亦称 “中子俘获”。指的是在核反应堆中，中子在与原子核相互碰撞后，被核所吸收并发出γ射线的过程。在有些情况下亦会导致核的β衰变或裂变。中子吸收包括（n，γ），（n，α），（n，p）以及核裂变反应。
