中央细胞，胚囊的组成细胞之一。位于卵器和反足细胞之间 占有胚囊的大部分空间。为一个大型的液泡化细胞，内含二核，称为极核（有些植物的极核数目有变化）。受精的中央细胞又称“受精极核”。极核常互相紧贴，或融合为一个次生核。受精后发育为胚乳。
