中国陶瓷博物馆位于淄博市中心文化广场。于2001年4月份在淄博市展览馆的基础上经过大规模投资改造而成，由清华大学美术学院负责设计布展，是一个集陈列、展览、收藏、研究、销售和社会教育于一体的综合性现代化陶瓷博物馆。
这是自中国陶瓷馆开馆以来，收到的第一笔个人名义捐款，更是第一笔海外捐款。
