世界之图为短毛球的斑锦品种，植株初生为球形，长大后呈圆筒形，极易群生。 植株高10-12厘米，直径10-15厘米，茎具11-12个直棱，绿色中镶嵌黄色斑块，有的几乎整个球体呈鲜黄色，仅棱沟或生长点附近为绿色。刺座上有淡褐色锥状短刺。花侧生，漏斗状，白色，长17-25厘米，在夏季傍晚开花。 原产巴西南部、乌拉圭及阿根廷东北部的草原地带。
