三谛，天台宗用语。为表显诸法的本然实相而立的三种原理，即︰空谛、假谛、中谛等三谛。空谛谓诸法空无自性，体不可得。假谛谓诸法宛然而有，施设假立。中谛谓诸法其体绝待，不可思议，全绝言思。三谛是天台宗的中心思想，用以表达体用相即，圆融无碍的教义。同时，天台宗止观法门之心要即为与三谛相应之三止三观，由此益见三谛在天台宗的重要地位。
如是愚人，不谛思维，便用其语，身坏命终，堕三恶道。
Such stupid men follow these words without deep thinking and fall into the Three Evil Paths of Transmigration on the dissolution of the body after death.
这里，通过实证四圣谛，他到达正见的第三层次，即觉悟。

第三个圣谛是离苦得乐是可以实现的，真正的快乐和满足是可能获得的。
