Walk past the Sunday night milonga in San Telmo's Plaza Dorrego and you will see eager young travellers putting their first tango lessons to the test, dancing cheek-to-cheek with distinguished-looking partners three times their age.
Over the decades, Manhattan Plaza has matured, with many of the young artists turning into older artists, and even some passing their apartments onto their children with families.
Mr. Cymbal says he envisions it as a "cool, hip environment" that will draw young professionals with its affordable rents, eateries and a public plaza.
