Also, the dividend yield on Continental European companies is at an all-time high with 47% of the market capitalization of Europe offering a dividend yield above the respective government bond yield, Credit Suisse says.
The Swiss bank also suggests yield-hungry U.S. investors look at European large capitalization stocks such as pharmaceuticals which have lagged the market but carry a higher dividend yield.
Of the 31 retail sector REITs (in the FTSE NAREIT Index), the overall average dividend yield is 3.1 percent and the combined retail sector market capitalization is 135.35 billion or around 26 percent of the overall capitalization of the FTSE NAREIT All Equity REIT Index.
