She glared at him, her jaw clenched but nodded stiffly. Ryan moved towards her, pulling her towards him by one arm. He slipped his hand into his pocket, withdrawing a knife. As soon as the rope had fallen away, Serena wrenched her arm from his grip and made a leap of faith for the door. Unfortunately she wasn't quite fast enough and Ryan lunged, grabbing her arm and spinning her around to face him. The breath was knocked out of her as he slammed her against the wall, pinning her there with his own weight.
