The Airphibian was designed by Robert Fulton Jr. in 1945, and was intended to fly into an airport, drop the propeller, wings and tail, and drive into town from the airport.
On propeller driven aircraft, balloon-like devices attached to the wingsandtail are inflated and deflated with air from the engines, breaking up any ice accumulation.
With two porthole windows that look like eyes set just above four small red tile awnings that look like a beak, two wingsand a tail, the architecture of the nondenominational church in the city of Madeira Beach uncannily resembles a cartoon chicken.
