White Horse Courtyard : This is now the palace's main entrance courtyard. It once was the site of a convent, founded by Saint Louis, which François I annexed to the palace of the king of France, starting in 1528. The main façade, in back, includes the Trinity Chapel which has replaced the former gothic abbey.
