Once out of the shower, she slipped into cute plaid boxer-type shorts and a comfy sweatshirt. She wanted to keep it casual for now. When she got downstairs, she saw the birthday decorations her mom put up, like she does every year. The metallic ‘happy birthday sign’ hung across the sliding glass door, and there was balloons and confetti scattered across the kitchen table. There were several cards and presents on the table also.
