I closed my eyes and waited to hear what Tom would say. It obviously wouldn't be pleasant. "And he killed her." Tears began to fall down my face. He just killed an innocent girl? Just like that? So, that's what Ray had meant by "kill another one". "Oh Lord. And you had to watch?" I asked, thinking about how terrible that would be. Tom nodded and continued. "Yes, we had to watch. This wasn't the first time this had happened. But anyways, we watched her die." Landen gulped and Tom stared off into space, remembering the look on the girl's face as she died. Poor Tom. "Then Ray sent in two goons and they beat the living crap out of us. And one of them stabbed my leg." Tom said, glancing at the leg Gracie had nursed.
