Molly's vocal talents include hints of Sophie Ellis Bextor whilst showing the Debbie Harry influences complimented by the bands funky bass riffs and energised drum and keyboard samples to present a layered, alt-pop rhythm that at times highlights them as The Long Blonds funkier cousins.
On its first two albums, Sweden's Shout Out Louds followed a similar formula by updating the dour post-punk of bands like The Cure and Joy Division with ragged guitar riffs, clean production and girl-boy vocal harmonies from singers Bebban Stenborg and Adam Olenius.
