abstract:The Villanova Wildcats is the name of the athletic teams of Villanova University. They compete in the Big East (NCAA Division I) for every sport except football, where they compete in the Colonial Athletic Association (Football Championship Subdivision, formerly Division I-AA).
The Philadelphia 76ers share their facility (the Wells Fargo Center) with the VillanovaWildcats, and North Carolina, Michigan State and Connecticut all have professional basketball teams (Charlotte Bobcats, Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics, respectively) within a 51-100 mile range from where they play their regular season home games.
