Faculty members at those schools have used Course Info to create fairly robust Web sites on which they uploadcontent, manage discussion boards and chat rooms, post announcements and track what students view at the schools' Web sites, Pittinsky said.
The Alluc.org kids, as well as the operators of most sites that let users uploadcontent, argue that they're not violating copyright law if they're not the ones putting it up and if they take it down at the copyright holder's request.
