While Democrats haven't recruited a strong challenger for Walker in his re-election campaign, the party's playbook is clear: castigate Walker for his efforts to curb union influence and tag him as someone eyeing a presidential campaign.
So shocking was the lack of interest in A-Rod's price tag that the players union even declared publicly it would look into the possibility of collusion (see SportsMoney blog: "Player's Union Way Off Base").
At the least, the union should be able to wrangle some concessions about the Tag, making its application less of a hammer in allowing teams to go year-to-year with players.
