Mr Slane, a 27-year-old father of three, was shot dead by the loyalist UlsterDefenceAssociation(UDA) at his home at Waterville Street, west Belfast, in September 1988.
The shooting was thought to have been in reprisal for the murder of 21-year-old David Greer, a member of the loyalist paramilitary UlsterDefenceAssociation(UDA) on 28 October.
