Mr McPherson-Davies, a former chairman of the Ramsden Crays Parish Council, believed it would take some time before children from the settled community started toreturntotheschool.
"We'll be working hard over the next few weeks to get the repairs carried out as soon as possible and we're hopeful that they will be completed in time for pupils toreturntotheschool on Monday January 7, " she said.
