Pettitte, who turns 41 in June, was 5-4 with a 2.87 ERA in 12 starts last year, when he missed almost three months because of a broken lower leftleg, sustained when he was hit by a line drive off the bat of Cleveland's Casey Kotchman on June 27.
The 31-year-old Spaniard, who missed much of the last two seasons after having surgery on his leftleg, has now won three straight matches in Paris after losing the first two sets.
