The rise of the machines has become so pervasive that many are proclaiming a newindustrialrevolution, the main difference, of course, being that now even highly educated knowledge workers are getting displaced.
But not everyone sees the bigger picture -- that the global economy will improve by moving away from dependence on fossil fuel, that investments in renewable energy can create jobs and that a newrevolution is needed to replace the outdated IndustrialRevolution.
