abstract:Surono (born 8 July 1955) is a leading Indonesian geophysicist and volcanologist. He is the head of the Indonesian Centre for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation, Geological Agency (Pusat Vulkanologi & Mitigasi Bencana Geologi, Badan Geologi - PVMBG).
