They are also restructuring their operations with more emphasis on staff performing duediligence and underwriting on investments and less on outside consultants, Fuller said.
Private-equity firms have hired extra staff to deal with the increased duediligence required, and in some cases have taken on bank staff who are familiar with the individual loans in question.
