abstract:Sperm washing is the process in which individual sperms are separated from the seminal fluid. The sperms are then used in intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF).
At the moment, would-be parents are offered a sperm"washing" technique prior to insemination, which removes cells and other detritus which can harbour the virus.
