Our cycles are negative on the NDX and tell us that weakness will be seen for the next week before an intermediate-term low is reached. The short cycles call for more weakness after a brief reprieve on Wednesday and the support at 1752 should be tested. A close under this level will assure us that the index is headed lower to at least 1710. It will then be the right time for at least an intermediate-term low and the NDX should turn up for a recovery before heading lower again into the fall. The resistance at 1855 should hold while the market moves lower and only a close over this level would mean our negative view is wrong and the index is headed higher for a month.
