abstract:Shaybah Oil Field is a major crude oil production site in Saudi Arabia, located approximately from the northern edge of the Rub' Al-Khali ("Empty Quarter") desert. It is about south of the border to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, which is a straight line drawn in the desert.
Shaybah, a remote field in the southeast corner of the Kingdom already has the capacity to produce 750, 000 barrels per day of crude oil after a 50% expansion in 2009.
