“That's great!” She squealed. Seeing my expression, though, she rethought her answer. “I mean, it's only great if you like him, but he seems okay! Unless he's a jerk, if he's a jerk then just dump him RIGHT NOW!” My face was still twisted up. More softly, she added, “What's wrong? Is it there more? I know something's bothering you, but you can tell me, you know you can.”
