abstract:The School of Advanced Study, a postgraduate institution of the University of London, is the UK's national centre for the promotion and facilitation of research in the humanities and social sciences. It was established in 1994 and is located in Senate House, in Bloomsbury, central London, close to the British Museum, British Library and several of the colleges of the University of London.
There have been8scholars from this school gone toforeign countries either as visiting scholars or for advancedstudy, someof whom have earned MAs orPhDsoverseas.
Michael Eisenstadt of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and Andrew Bacevich of the Johns Hopkins University SchoolofAdvanced International Studies collaborated in a separate studyof the role the U.S. can play in supporting a Syrian-Israeli peace agreement sponsored by the Washington Institute.
