While farming is often difficult for both the body and mine, Sanchez says he and many of his fellow young farmers are motivated by desire to set a new standard for agriculture.

"I believe (benefits from) the relative costs involved far outweigh the cost of doing nothing," Sanchez says.

"[They] work for 20, 25, 30 years and retire, " Sanchez says. "And I think never in a million years did they expect to be in their 50s job-searching and starting all over again."
