Australia's Adam Scott and England's JustinRose and Ian Poulter are tied for 19th place on six-under par along with America's Hunter Mahan and Webb Simpson.
His 13-under-par total beat the five-under score of second-place David Lynn of England and was nine better than four others: JustinRose, Carl Pettersson, Ian Poulter and the defending champion, Keegan Bradley.
