After recording a debut RCA Victor LP entitled "Gichy Dan’s Beechwood # 9",Gichy Dan which Rogers and songwriter August Darnell produced together - Rogers composed the words and music to the dance hit Deputy of Love which charted #1 in Billboard magazine Billboard Charts for recording artist Don Armando.
